Our main goal is to create sustainable self driven communities
Thrive Community Empowerment Initiative (TCEI) is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the National NGO Board (Reg.Number: 8139).
It was initially established as a community based organisation (CBO) in 2018 and was registered as an NGO in 2020 to provide support to the underserved, marginalized and vulnerable groups in Uganda thereby empowering them to have a resilient livelihood and reduce vulnerability in their lives .
TCEI has partnered with Organisations with experience in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH),Health services & nutrition, Advocacy and human rights to develop programs for marginalised groups including,the disabled,Elderly people,women and young people, . Our programs empower communities to create innovative and lasting solutions,for secure and healthy futures that are free from poverty.

Leadership
Stella Kasozi
Executive Director
The Executive Director reports to Board of Directors. With over 10 years in managing community programs and as a previous policy officer at the Ministry of Justice in the UK, She is responsible for overall strategic leadership, ensuring core values are adhered to, manages partnerships and stakeholder engagements to increase impact and capacity within our focus areas in relation to the mission and vision. She is a Rotarian.
Judith Kevina Nassaka
Programs Manager
Nassaka Judith is a Social Worker and Rotarian with over 15 years of experience in community development programs. She has spearheaded initiatives focused on poverty alleviation, women's empowerment, mental health, and vocational training, impacting vulnerable communities across Uganda. Her expertise includes designing and implementing programs that promote sustainable development and address social inequalities. Judith has previously worked with organizations on projects involving youth skilling, health education, and economic empowerment, ensuring alignment with budgets and strategic goals. Currently overseeing programs at TCEI, she continues to champion innovative approaches to improving livelihoods and fostering resilience in marginalized populations.
Mathew Muwanguzi
Adminstration Officer
Bringing seven years of expertise, coordinates administrative functions, streamlines processes, strengthens team collaboration, ensures policy adherence, manages resources effectively, and supports successful implementation of programs and organizational objectives.
Mubiru Isreal
Finance& Adminstration Manager.
Mubiru Israel heads Finance and Administration at Thrive Community Empowerment Initiative (TCEI), reporting to the Executive Director. He is responsible for financial planning, budget preparation, and ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial operations. With over 16 years of experience in financial management and community programs, he has played a key role in supporting TCEI’s impactful initiatives, including the Nutri-Dense Vegetable Community Gardens and the Empower Her Project. A Chartered Accountant, certified internal auditor, and risk analyst, Mubiru ensures optimal resource allocation to drive TCEI’s mission of uplifting vulnerable communities through economic empowerment, mental health support, and innovative projects.
Ritah Nansubuga
Monitoring& Evaluation Officer
With 5 years’ experience,Ritah specializes in monitoring and evaluation, combining IT expertise and project coordination skills to enhance data-driven decision-making, optimize program outcomes, and support organizational effectiveness.
